1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and The Medico Mentor (SMC-Private) Limited ("The Medico Mentor", "we", "us"). By creating an account, buying a plan or otherwise using The Medico Mentor application and website ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms and to the policies they refer to: our Refund Policy, Delivery Policy and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Educational Content Disclaimer
The Medico Mentor provides supplementary educational content and learning materials for medical students. These materials are not a replacement for regular prescribed studies, official curricula, or formal education programs. While we strive to offer accurate and helpful content, we make no guarantee regarding comprehensiveness, alignment with any specific examination, or success in any exam, coursework, or professional advancement. Users should consult official sources and qualified instructors for definitive guidance.
3. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of The Medico Mentor and its licensors, protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.
4. User Accounts
4.1 Account Creation
To use certain features you must register for an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
4.2 Single-User Accounts & No Sharing
Each account is for a single user only. You agree not to share your credentials, allow multiple people to access your account, or transfer your account to another person. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts, without notice or refund, where we detect or reasonably suspect account sharing or unauthorized access.
5. Plans, Payments and Delivery
5.1 Who you are buying from
All plans are sold by The Medico Mentor (SMC-Private) Limited, which is the seller (merchant) for every purchase. Payment providers only process the payment. Questions about a purchase, its delivery or a refund should come to us first, at support@themedicomentor.com. A card payment normally appears on your bank statement under the name The Medico Mentor.
5.2 Plans and prices
Plans are set for each course. The plans on sale and their prices are shown on our Plans & Pricing page and in the app. The price you pay is the price shown on the order summary at checkout before you pay. Prices are in Pakistani Rupees (PKR) and include any applicable taxes. We may change prices or plans for future purchases at any time; a change never affects a plan you have already bought.
5.3 Subscription plan terms
- One-time payment. Every plan is a single payment for a fixed access period. There is no automatic renewal and no recurring charge. We will never charge you again unless you choose to buy another plan.
- Access period. A plan sold for a number of months gives access for that many months from the moment it is activated. A plan sold "until" a stated date gives access until that date. Access ends automatically at the end of the period.
- What a plan covers. Each plan states its coverage before you pay. A plan for "your year of study" unlocks the course year chosen at checkout. A plan for "every year" of a course unlocks all years of that course on the Service during the access period. Multi-year or VIP plans give the coverage and period stated on the plan at the time of purchase.
- Buying again early. If you buy more time for a course and year you already have, the new time is added after your current access ends.
- One user. A plan gives access to the single registered account it was bought for only.
5.4 How you can pay
- Online through Safepay. Online payments are processed by Safepay (Private) Limited, a payment service provider authorised by the State Bank of Pakistan. You can pay by Raast on our checkout page, either by approving a payment request sent to your bank or wallet app (such as Easypaisa or JazzCash) or by scanning a QR code in it; Raast is free for you. You can also pay by card on Safepay's secure hosted checkout page, where card payments are verified by your bank with 3-D Secure (for example, a one-time password sent to your phone). The methods offered are shown at checkout and may change from time to time.
- Through our support team. You can also pay by bank transfer, JazzCash or Easypaisa to the company account details our support team gives you in the app chat, then send the payment screenshot and transaction ID in the chat. Only pay to account details given to you in the app by our support team.
We never see or store your full card number, card security code or banking passwords. Card details are entered on Safepay's page, not ours. For Raast you give us only your Raast ID (the mobile number linked to your account) or your IBAN, so that Safepay can send the payment request; you approve it in your own bank or wallet app.
5.5 Agreeing at checkout
Before you pay, you will be asked to confirm that you agree to these Terms, our Refund Policy and our Delivery Policy, and that you understand access is digital, starts immediately, and is non-refundable except as described in the Refund Policy. We keep a record of that confirmation (the date and time, the version of the policies, and the IP address and browser used) with your order.
5.6 Delivery
The Service is delivered digitally to your account. Online payments are activated automatically once the payment is confirmed; payments made through support are activated once we have verified them. Full details are in our Delivery Policy.
5.7 Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
5.8 Payment disputes
If you have a problem with a payment, please contact us before raising a dispute or chargeback with your bank. If a payment is disputed, we may suspend the Premium access bought with that payment until the dispute is decided, and we may provide records of the purchase, its delivery and your use of the Service to Safepay and the banks involved so they can decide it. If the dispute is decided in your favour, the access from that payment is removed. If it is decided in our favour, your access is restored. Disputes about Raast payments are handled under the Raast rules of the State Bank of Pakistan. More detail is in section 8 of our Refund Policy.
5.9 Records
We keep records of every payment and its delivery for at least ten (10) years from the date of the payment, as required by our payment provider and the rules that apply to payments in Pakistan, even if you delete your account. Our Privacy Policy explains what these records contain.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to submit content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, or infringing; to introduce malicious code; to attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to our systems; or to use automated tools to extract content. Violations may result in suspension or termination without refund.
7. Content Modifications
We reserve the right to add, update, or remove educational content at any time to keep it current and improve quality. During your subscription period you will generally receive access to updated content. We do not guarantee that every previously available item will remain accessible throughout the entire subscription period.
8. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account, without prior notice or liability, for violations of these Terms, fraudulent or illegal activity (including a payment dispute found to be false), abusive conduct, or upon a valid legal requirement. In the event of termination for violations, we may withhold any refund for the unused portion of a subscription.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall The Medico Mentor's total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount you paid to us in subscription fees during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim; if you have paid no fees, our liability shall be limited to five hundred Pakistani Rupees (PKR 500). We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
11. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation and, failing that, through binding arbitration conducted in Pakistan in accordance with applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the consumer protection laws of Pakistan.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service or by email before it takes effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. A purchase is governed by the Terms and policies in force when it was made.
